Summer reading fun begins at county library
Roger Day encouraged children to dream big Thursday at the Williamson County Public Library in Franklin.
Children and parents filled the meeting room at the library to see Day sing and dance as a part of the summer reading program. Day’s silly songs encouraged kids to follow their dreams and keep working hard.
Day is a native of Franklin and has been singing for kids for 10 years. He said that his own kids were what got him started in music.
Day’s most popular song is called “It’s a No-No to Kiss a Rhino.” He said that he got the inspiration for the song from the huge stuffed rhino head in the old library.
The Williamson County Public Library will be hosting many more events this summer to encourage young children to read. Click here for more information.
